I've had heaps of people asking and emailing to see when my next DJ Promo Mixset will be available. Well, I'm happy to announce that I recently recorded an entire night at Malbas (all 5 hours of it) and am currently in the process of splitting it up into 80 minutes sets so they'll fit on CD.

So check back here soon for some new DJ Promo Mixset downloads, featuring all the biggest house/electro and commercial remix anthems of now.

Malbas Bar & Nightclub are celebrating National Hug A Ginger Day this Friday, with $20 bar tabs to any genuine true blue gingers.

I've just received a booking to DJ there all night on Friday, so you can check me, Andy Pulzar, proud ginger myself, on the decks dropping huge tunes all night long.

Loads of great drink specials, and a fun night will be had by all. And if you're not ginger come into Malbas and show the gingers of the city some love. They need it, after all, they can't tan!!

What an insane time the year so far has been. We've now successfully launched Pulzar FM (tune in online from www.pulzarfm.co.nz or listen into 105.7fm in Canterbury, NZ), and I'm now getting up every morning at 5.30am to host the weekend breakfast show. Which is all a bit crazy.

It definitely doesn't help that I'm currently putting in 12-15 hour days working to get us all up and running. But anyway, everyone assures me it'll all be worth it in the end, so fingers crossed we secure a heap of advertisers and get the business rocking.

It's amazing how being frantically busy can just leave you remembering the great line from Ferris Bueller's Day Off: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around you once in a while, you may miss it!"

This month has been exactly like that, as we prepare to relaunch Pulzar FM, bigger and better than ever before. Look out for that in April.

Well, I got to have a great break over the Christmas/New Years period, due to no one booking me for any gigs, and me not chasing any. So for the first New Years in over 10 or 11 years I had a year off. Which was great fun.

Andy Pulzar has taken part in Movember 2008, and raised a small amount of money. It was good fun, although the mo was bloody itchy!

Well, they say that the only constant in life is change. And it seems some more unexpected change is fast approaching for me.

On Friday I was told that the higher up management at CEA, who own Taxi Club, are looking at refocusing the venue as a rock bar, taking it back to more of the Rocky Cola feel it had before becoming Taxi.

Sometimes it does seem rather strange to get up in winter to a chilly morning with snow on the ground throughout Christchurch and have to clear all the white stuff off your car just to drive to work, then that afternoon jump on a plane to fly to the world's clubbing capital, making my first pilgrimage to the white island where it's around 30 degrees every day and the sun just keeps shining.

Ah, you gotta love holidays.
